It was her appearance in the music video In My Feelings by Drake that got her the attention that she needed to build her career in the music industry.

One of the earliest posts that JT uploaded to her eponymous Instagram account was on August 14, 2017.

While JT is from Opa-Locka, Yung Miami is from Liberty City.

One of the earliest tracks that she had released with City Girls was titled F*ck Dat Nigga. It was a diss track for their ex-boyfriends who did not give them money. The song was promoted via social media and they even paid DJs to play it in clubs.

She and Yung Miami had been working at strip clubs, nightclubs, and block parties by the age of 17.
